Who We Are
Celebrating over 30 years of community service
We are very proud that we have been a Charitable Non-Profit Society providing services to our community for over 30 years. We became established in September of 1986. We take pride in our service catchment area which is Campbell River, south to Black Creek, north to Sayward, west to Gold River, and we include Quadra and Cortes Islands.
We are defined as a community hospice; as we do not have private free standing hospice beds for end of life care where residential hospices do.
Our Hospice offers support, information, and companionship to those living with an advancing illness, their family and friends as well as those grieving the death of a loved one. Hospice care is available to clients in their homes, our hospital, local and residential care facilities in and surrounding Campbell River including Black Creek, Quadra and Cortes Island and north to Sayward.
Our Hospice services are offered by staff and by volunteers. Our Volunteers receive specific core training, ongoing education, and supervision in order to support our clients, their friends and family through the palliative and grief journeys.
We work very closely with Island Health and other community organizations to identify needs within our community and create or provide those services needed within our community in relation to hospice, palliative care ans holistic health. Our catchment area is outlined in red on the map below.
