Sally Wellman Memorial Garden
The space for the Sally Wellman Memorial |Garden was graciously donated to the Campbell River Hospice Society by the City of Campbell River. The Hospice Society decided to create a memorial garden, hence it was built and named in loving memory of Sally Wellman a past board member of the society.
Our garden is located along the sea walk at the Rotary Park on the South Island Highway.
Memorial Gardens are really not a new or an unusual setting. Memorial Gardens have been around for thousands of years as we still are a society that honors and pays respect to others and also to those who have passed on before us. The Memorial Garden of today and into the memorial garden tribute future is designed for each and every person within the community. It provides welcome peace, security and comfort.
Our garden are graciously looked after by our amazing volunteers!
Garden Plaques may be purchased from the Hospice Society (for a minimum donation of $50.00) we will provide a plaque for you to have engraved with your personal message in memory of a loved one. Once you have your plaque engraved, please return it to the Hospice office and an employee will have it mounted on one of the bricks located on the garden walkway.
Families may also plant a non-invasive plant in the garden.
