How can we help?
We here at the Campbell River Hospice Society acknowledge that grief and bereavement are very complex. Grief is a natural response to loss, but by far an easy experience to transition through, for some moving forward in a healthy manner can be difficult. We know the loss of someone near and dear to our heart strings can and is a life-transforming event upon which the transition phase will affect all aspects of our lives. We find that it is most commonly manifested in some of the following ways: physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and socially. We kindly remind individuals, that there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Grief has no prescribed timeline, nor rules upon which to follow. We know for some, It can take much longer than they anticipated to cope. We understand that grief has its common themes, but encourage individuals to understand that no two individuals experience grief in the same way, grief is unique to each individual,of us just as our individual DNA is. We are here to help you whether it is anticipated grief, or sudden. If you feel you are struggling, please give us a call.
We provide an array of bereavement programs. Our programs are provided by our staff and volunteers, they provide a variety of grief and bereavement support services and resources. The first step is connecting with us to discuss you or a loved one's needs.
